Our client, a major banking institution is looking to enhance its Corporate Banking team by adding an experienced Senior Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking with specific experience in the Oil & Gas sector. The role will be based in Moscow, Russia.
Role Overview
This is a senior role and the Relationship Manager will manage a portfolio of complex borrowing corporate clients as well as being the primary point of contact for the banks relationships with the Oil&Gas Sector.
The ideal candidate will maximize opportunities to strengthen and leverage existing relationships as well as continue to maintain and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention all the while generating new recommendations. The successful candidate will be experienced in developing growth plans and expanding the divisions borrowing and non-borrowing relationships within the Oil &Gas sector.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Head, you will be required to proactively manage existing and prospective clients to achieve agreed revenue and volume targets. Your major responsibilities will be:
1) Work closely with clients to secure both new business in the Moscow region and to deepen the existing business relationship in the large corporate markets segment
2) Manage key relationships with the existing and potential CFO’s, Treasures etc with a view to leveraging further business and widening the portfolio
3) Tailor existing products to meet individual client’s needs 4) Act as a conduit of information on client preferences, specific product feedback and future product requirements to product management colleagues
5) Work closely with counterparts such as DCM and Trade Finance to ensure a consistent approach to client management, marketing, and product positioning in the region
6) Manage credit quality standards through effective management of risk according to the Bank’s policies and procedures
Candidate Requirements
A University degree and / or recognized Banking Qualification; an advanced degree (e.g. MBA) and or a professional accounting qualification would be an asset.
Strong working knowledge of commercial banking products, loan agreements, security and other credit requirements. Essential qualifications include at least 7 years banking experience with at least 5 years in a direct commercial customer contact role: in depth experience in structuring financing transactions with the oil & gas sectors; experience in structuring financing transactions with other sectors with large commodity exposure and balance sheet will be considered an asset.
Fluent Russian is required
